Expanse Fairs Bring the System to Life Across the Region

The Bridge Northwest Expanse Fairs are underway, with events now completed in Thunder Bay, Manitouwadge, Marathon, Terrace Bay and Geraldton.

With major support from each organization’s local Expanse team, the fairs have welcomed hundreds of staff members from a wide range of departments. For many, this has been a highly anticipated milestone—the first opportunity to see and try-out Meditech Expanse.

Change Specialists and local subject matter experts have helped staff work through a menu of scenarios, including chart exploration, medication administration, computerized order entry, appointment scheduling and more. Staff have been able to explore the test environment, ask questions and get an early look at how common tasks may be completed in Expanse.

The fairs have also created valuable opportunities to hear directly from staff. Questions, concerns and worries about the upcoming change have been acknowledged, and feedback gathered at each event is being brought back to the appropriate program teams to help inform ongoing preparations.

Next Week

Over the next two weeks, the Bridge Northwest team will bring the Expanse Fairs to hospital sites across the Rainy River and Kenora Districts.
